Specializing in Autoimmune Diseases/Conditions, especially Lupus.
My passion and journey to becoming a FMCHC and AIP Certified Coach began many years ago as my love of learning drove me down many “rabbit holes” absorbing miles of information in holistic health. I researched and treated myself without much in the way of illnesses, until four years ago, as a passionate and daily hiker, I was forced to stop and return back down the hill
numerous times. I knew there was something terribly “not right” with me. I had climbed this same hill for 20 years. I was very sick and was told it was either autoimmune or bone cancer. Many specialists later I had a diagnosis of Lupus (SLE), which made me feel rectified, blessed, and grateful for Lupus! My hematologist gave me information on the Autoimmune Protocol Diet. I made huge adjustments with my diet and lifestyle; prioritizing even healthier food, self care, sleep and mindfulness. Determined not to be “ill”, I empowered myself, my Lupus symptoms and the level of inflammation have been driven down to mild activity in just a year or two. I continue to practice the Paleo approach, never regretting it and am more confident and stronger knowing I did it myself, making the necessary modifiable lifestyle changes I needed to make and using AIP has given me back my vitality and life.
My need to give back to the community and people of ANY need has been at the core of who I am, consummate volunteer my whole life. I am a long term guide dog puppy raiser, which has given me immense joy and satisfaction. Feeding my values and desire of giving love and assistance where it is needed. My personal health journey has also fueled that need to give back, becoming a health coach fills that passion in my soul of seeing others transform their health and living the best version of themselves they possibly can.
